Kara Schumann was born and raised in the Midwest. She grew up loving to read Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Brad Meltzer, James Lee Burke and Dorothea Benton Frank. Each book would open up a new adventure. After decades of dreaming about writing her own stories, she has followed her heart and self published her first book.
The characters of Kara Schumann's first novel, It's A Start, have been uniquely sculpted over years of thoughts and ideas. A close group of friends will guide you through their everyday small town life. Their journeys are filled with mystery and psychological conundrums with a bit of spiritual guidance to assist them.
Kara Schumann resides with her husband in South Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys scrapbooking, photography, reading and spending time with her husband and kids. A sequel is in her future.
